Three Guesses What I Did Last Night
WNO managed to put on a pretty good Anna Bolena. The costumes weren't quite as awesome as below, but Sondra Radvanovsky's Anna was ... with all respect to Netrebko ... pretty nearly this good.
Now, mio fratello who took me and sister #2 does not like big voices on female singers, so in his honor I include the same scene with Beverly Sills in the title role. After looking at the playbill I notice that Radvanovsky it noted for singing Verdi...
The voice was just too heavy.
